OUR HARVEST

Our grapes are harvested in autumn and hand sorted to render the finest fruit. They are cold soaked and slowly ferment, allowing them three weeks on the skins. This accounts for a rich color, body and tannin structure. The grapes are then aged fourteen months in both new and old French oak barrels.

Our first harvest was produced at the renowned DeRose Vineyards in Hollister, CA. We produce and bottle our own wine in our new, state-of-the-art winery, located next to our wine tasting room.

OUR GRAPES

Our grapes are given daily, dedicated tender care and harvested from a fifteen acre vineyard located on the Seven Hills Land and Cattle Co. ranch. The vineyard faces southwest, on 15 sloping acres at 1,800 feet elevation. Since purchasing the ranch, we have grafted five of the pre-existing acres and added petit verdot, sauvignon blanc, gew¸rztraminer and malbec, and planted five acres of cabernet sauvignon.

OUR WINES

Our wines are exquisite and have received rave reviews by friends, fellow ranchers and wine connoisseurs alike. Having opened our own tasting room in 2008, we hope to reach out to the occasional vineyard vacationers, seasoned wine tasting pros and boutique retailers nationwide with our wines.

Our highly allocated 2007 Merlot is rich and smooth in character with a fruitful bouquet and an excellent finish. We also offer a 2006 bottled blend of the best obtainable merlot, petit syrah and cabernet franc grapes, which we call our Majorette. Its forward fruit and sweet young bouquet make it a cheerful parade of drink.
